I am in the data analytics industry working as a senior data analyst. Having had been a data analyst for approximately 4 years prior to the mentorship, I felt that a data scientist position would be the natural progression for my career, and I felt that I really struggled with creating a well balanced learning plan that involved theory and practice to further my qualifications and skillset.

I learned that goal setting and roadmap planning is an involved, iterative process. It's certainly not easy to plan it out, but it's a worthwhile endeavor. Simply doing things with no direction is pointless. I also learned that habits are the cornerstone of what we do every single day. Everyone has good and bad habits, and they ultimately make us who and what we become in the long run. Shifting small habits to more positive ones can make a huge difference down the road. Definitely relevant and I'm glad there's a lot of time spent on goal setting.
