DataShip Career Accelerator Scholarship - Official Rules

1. Sponsor

The DataShip Career Accelerator Scholarship (the “Scholarship”) is sponsored by JDA Digital Corp LTD, 94 Cardiff Private, Ottawa, Canada (the “Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

- Open to legal residents of the United States and Canada who:

- Are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry;

- Have at least 1 year of data-related experience or equivalent skills;

- Are legally eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada (e.g., work visa, PR, or citizenship);

- Are not employees, contractors, or immediate family members of the Sponsor.

- Are willing, if selected as a scholarship recipient, to share their progress and participate in reasonable marketing activities related to the Scholarship and the DataShip program.

3. Scholarship Description and Approximate Value

Sponsor will award: One (1) full scholarship to the DataShip program (approximate value: $9k USD + taxes); and

Scholarships are not transferable or redeemable for cash, except as required by law.

4. Contest Period

The Contest begins at Dec 15th, 2025 12 am EDT and ends Dec 23rd, 2025, (the “Contest Period”). Entries received after the Contest Period will not be considered.

5. How to Enter (No Purchase Necessary)

No purchase is required to enter or win. A purchase or payment will not increase your chances of winning. Limit one (1) entry per person.

During the Contest Period,

Visit dataship.ca/application-giveaway and complete the application form, including:

- Contact information;

- Short-answer questions regarding your background, goals, and challenges;

- Link to LinkedIn

6. Judging and Selection of Winners

All eligible entries will be judged by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor using the scoring rubric in Section 7. Judges’ scores will be averaged, and the highest-scoring entry will receive the full scholarship. Partial scholarships will be awarded to additional high-scoring entrants at Sponsor’s discretion.

Judging will occur between Dec 23rd, 2025 and Dec 24th, 2025. Judges’ decisions are final and binding.

7. Judging Criteria (100 points total)

Each judge will independently score entries. Final score equals the average of all judges’ scores.


Entries will be evaluated on the following criteria:

Part 1: Effort & Evidence of Action (30 points)

0–10: Quality and relevance of portfolio / projects

0–10: Consistency of learning and skills development

0–10: Documented job-search or career-advancement efforts

Part 2: Alignment with DataShip Values (20 points)

0–5 per value for Extreme Ownership, Give More Than Expected, Data-Driven, Relilient Growth

Based on specific examples and demonstrated behavior in the application

Part 3: Impact Potential (30 points)

0–10: Clarity and specificity of career goals

0–10: Likelihood of achieving goals with the DataShip program

0–10: Potential to positively impact others (mentoring, community contribution, etc.)

Part 4: Financial Need (20 points)

0–10: Demonstrated financial constraints

0–10: Lack of reasonable alternative means to access similar support

8. Notification of Winners

Potential winners will be notified by email at the address provided in their application on or about Dec 24th, 2025. If a potential winner does not respond within 2 days, cannot be contacted, or is ineligible, Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

9. Conditions

By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, inaccurate, or not in accordance with these Official Rules.

As a condition of receiving a scholarship, each selected winner must agree to (a) participate in reasonable progress check-ins during the program, and (b) allow Sponsor to use their story, experience, and results (including ongoing progress updates) in case studies, testimonials, and other marketing materials, subject to applicable law. If a selected winner does not agree, Sponsor may select an alternate winner.

10. Publicity Release

Where permitted by law, by accepting a scholarship you grant Sponsor the right to use your name, likeness, biographical information, application responses, and program progress and results (including ongoing updates) in any media for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

11. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with the Scholarship will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://www.dataship.ca/privacy.

12. General

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Scholarship if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Scholarship, as determined by Sponsor.
